Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. We couldn’t read your documents if we wanted to — they never reach us.

When you drop a PDF or an image into a tool, your browser reads it into memory, does the work on your device, and hands you the result as a download. Closing the tab throws all of it away.

Your files are not stored, cached, or kept between visits — not by us, and not in your browser’s storage either.

Docsmith saves two things in your browser’s local storage: your light-or-dark theme choice and the random analytics identifier described below. No file names, no history, no fingerprints.

There’s nothing to sign up for, and no third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or cookies. We count usage on our own self-hosted analytics: pages visited, tools used, your browser and operating system type, and your approximate location (country and city, estimated from your IP address — the address itself is never stored).

To tell returning visitors apart, a random identifier is kept in your browser’s local storage. It says nothing about who you are, and clearing this site’s data removes it. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we don’t count you at all.

Clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the theme choice is gone too. There’s no copy anywhere else.
